Documents for drivers from Georgia to Poland
Poland is the EU's largest international haulage market and often the first country for drivers from the CIS. Citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine use the simplified employer declaration procedure (oświadczenie); everyone else needs a type A work permit from the voivode.
Visa-free entry to Schengen does not allow work. The employer first obtains the permit or registers the oświadczenie, then you apply for a national visa D (purpose “work”) at the Polish consulate. Ukrainian citizens additionally use the special act of 2022; check its current status on gov.pl.
